Sliding Scale

As Alexis J. Cunningfolk says, “Offering a sliding scale comes from a desire to create multiple access points for the wild and big hearted creatures called to learn from us…”

To me, transparency and trust are foundational to any working relationship. You rely on me to say what I can and cannot provide and then to provide it. And I rely on you to choose the sliding scale level that applies to you or to offer a fair barter. Trust grows most, Cunningfolk says, when all involved are aware of the truths in our world that govern access, including class, race, and gender.

Hourly and package prices are based on the following:

Pay-it-forward Cost – $150/hr
This solid % above the actual cost helps balance and sustain my work. This level supports folks accessing my services at lower price points. If you are an able, employed man, I will expect you to book my services at this level or above.

Actual Cost – $85/hr
This is what I would charge, ideally, per person/hour/session in the absence of a sliding scale. If you have flexibility, and are able to give yourself and others treats, even if they feel like a stretch sometimes, please select this level.

Access Cost – $35/hr
This is for those who have little or no expendable income. QTBIOPC to the front. This is for folks living paycheck-to-paycheck, folks who are struggling with debt, etc. Even when the lower tier is still prohibitive, I will work with folks to offer extended payment plans and other solutions.

Barter
Our economies of care and service wildly transcend money-based economies. Reach out, let’s see what we can trade.

Little logistics:

  • Within reason, I am able to offer payment plans to offer up to four payments over four months.
  • Ask for a full fee and pricing information for services that include other a la carte offerings including extended time, nights and weekends, vigils, travel beyond the MTA, and more.

Schedule an Intake

We will begin with  a  75–90-minute  intake  session to get to know each other, clarify our scope of work, and establish goals.
