Amulets are small protective objects that follow in a ritual tradition of Jewish protection magical practice. They are objects made of day-to-day items that become conduits for connection to the ancestors, to greater protective systems, and to each other.
I want to think about you, protect you, and add you to the universe of love and ancestral protection that exists all around us. Whether you need general protection or something more specific for childbirth or the early years of one’s life, surgery, travel, etc.
Amulets can live in your pocket, on an altar, in a bassinet, sock drawer, hospital bag, or the box of sundries in the back of your closet. No matter what, they are objects that have and call in connections to your and my and our collective power and protection.
They are very small blessings.
The materials I use to make them are gifted or donated fabric and thread, along with organic or IPM ethically sourced ingredients, flowers, garlic, and other spices and glitter and other sundries. These mundane scraps and specially-selected patterns come together to create something that never existed for anyone else. And, they smell good.
Details and Price
For an amulet, I’d ask for $18 for materials and/or a barter I’d be glad to discuss. They take anywhere from two weeks (I’d consider that “rush”) to a year, depending on the project. I’ll never say no if that doesn’t feel attainable. Contact me!
